Remember when the ALP claimed that it hadn’t really just completely caved in on pokie reform?
Pokie industry calls dogs off Labor MPs
THE pokies war is over.
The poker machine industry has claimed victory and has called off its controversial $40 million campaign that targeted worried Labor MPs in the Government’s most marginal seats.
Sweet, sweet democracy. That’s what it’s called when industries with money can successfully use it to crush popularly-supported reforms, right?
I detest the current advertising campaigns (apparently targeted at young men) promoting mobile phone betting. Now, before this becomes too entrenched, there is an opportunity to stop the advertising and place some limits on the amounts that can be wagered. Apart from that the ads are gratingly annoying.

Indeed. The opposition must be laughing their tities off. Ah conservatives they do play the political game well. One minute they’re in the shearing sheds telling the men, “Don’t let those socialist toe rags tell you what to do with your hard earned, if you want to gamble the family’s money into poverty Well that’s just dandy “. Next stop is the local church with tambourine under their arm giving the congregation a lecture on the evils of gambling. Ahhhh I do love them so. The current Labor party haven’t got a clue. They should all be rounded up and arrested for stealing oxygen.
I despair.

I’m waiting for the next installment of revisionist history from the Mondo and SB on this little un-known fact.
Gee fancy that ol Robert R
cont. Robert Reich gets his information from the same books I do.
Mainly in the library where you wont find any conservatives. Well maybe one just taking a leak in there, like when they’re shopping or something.. Many of them (Library’s that is)have nice clean toilets. Tee Hee.
