Turns out, the results of an “are you in favour of a carbon tax” poll vastly improve for the government if you describe what they’re actually proposing.
All that being said, and while I agree with a price on carbon in principle, I’m not certain that this Government will be able to develop a legitimate mechanism that isn’t just pandering to the very groups it is meant to be attempting to influence to reduce carbon based poluttion. Hopefully when the detail is released it’ll prove this little cynic wrong. 🙂
