This type of footage has been all over the net for a while. At the end of the day it is citizen journalism. No editing, no CGI, just the raw footage.

By the way, there is a heap of footage of people being executed by the Taliban, Iraqi insurgents and other terrorist groups all over the web. This was mild compared to the inhumanity being carried out in other situations.

Tip: don’t search if you don’t want to see if you are suceptable to nightmares. Its a scary world out there.

The record high temperatures are proof positive of global warming. And the record low temperatures of last northern winter are proof of climate change. What more proof do you need.

New weather extremes are disturbingly consistent with what climate change theory predicts – as the world warms overall, it buggers up the weather systems on which we’ve come to depend. Hence weather records being broken all around the world.

Still, maybe it’s not anything to do with us belching ever-increasing industrial-level greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Maybe God’s pissed off because the poofs keep getting married.

SB, I don’t take individual weather events as proof of anything, but timmeh is notorious for trumpeting any record low temperature as if it disproves AGW.
I was genuinely asking if he has commented on the recent record high temps. Apparently the answer is no.

Roy, zoot simply asked – seriously doubting it – whether tim was being in any way consistent.

He has posted about the unusually warm winter, to mock people who pull the same shit he pulls whenever it’s cold. Apparently it’s not hypocrisy if you call it first.

I’m left and I certainly had no respect for Ted Kennedy. I’m not even sure how the democrats are supposedly “left”.

SB is right about Kennedy getting off scott free re Mary Jo whatshernames death, then again I know americans who swear blind that was a set up.

John Dean was recorded as saying this to Richard Nixon: “If Teddy knew the bear trap he was walking into at Chappaquiddick. . . .” so there may be some truth in their claims.

Its in a book called “The White House Tapes” if you need a ref.

Given his brothers were murdered and his nephew Wellstoned, and he himself survived his own Wellstone moment there could be some truth in the claims of a set up. Politics in the US at that time was pretty serious.

The Kennedy clan, for all the mythology that surrounds it weren’t the Jesuses of American politics they are made out to be.

But if I remember rightly Ted Kennedy did have a history of promoting and passing humane, ethical legislation, its no wonder the right despise him.

I always wonder what the point is of the American military and its apologists publicising this sort of footage (citzen journalism or not). I don’t see any evidence of the Taliban and Al Quaeda giving up because the US is able to make large bangs or bring heavy firepower to bear on targets.
Didn’t more US troops die in Afghanistan this month than any other since this started nearly 8 years ago?

Only morons (ie Blair’s readers) would think this shock and awe sort of footage has any effect on those NATO is fighting.
