Yep!An incandescent light globe looks so much like whole varieties of potatoes,it is a shame there wasn’t enough electricity in Sydney to warm them up.And spuds aren’t selling to good in Brisbane because the boss thinks the Thai rice looks more like a incandescent globe when the change loses its shine.Although I have told this story without the incandescent globe before, it was a long day again today bagging spuds for market. And tomorrow, whilst the rain keeps coming in. I love my incandescent globes, I have one on now next to the flat screen, that has a energy rating. No clothes on,standing up accept for a jacket. And the spuds are in the crockpot to be ready for a long day tomorrow. I have an old kerosene heater I am adapting to a light globe to give off magical light as well as heat. I might also get round to turning it into a oven as well, just so a three in one light heat and cooking, beats the earthly sun on cool nights. All I need then is the required wall plug. And a ” nice ” cool winter type breeze is blowing through the window now and in the future. Free of superlatives as a lifestyle!? Once you stop you cannot start, thats why 240 volts mains is impressive,a flick of a switch And like me at night sometimes.
Is this the real Jeremy Sears and if so, has he diverted me and philip travers to where we can’t do any harm, or else where have all the interesting posts inspiring heaps of commenters gone?
Or has everyone abandoned his blog because there’s no more leafy green trees and such, and it just looks crap?
And what the hell is with this cryptic post linking to a news report of power blackouts?
Without my daily fix of an onymous lefty,
My world is crashing down around my ears, Jeremy Sears!
In an interesting side note after turning back on our never-turned-off screens post earth-hour we managed to break about 6 of them. How much carbon is required to manufacture a replacement 6? Probably more than we saved at work (considering we still had to be there working or at least some of us did I’m on the nightshift tomorrow).
Sorry, fairly busy at the moment. And after I uploaded this I realised it was a pretty obvious post, so I put it back into draft. I thought. Imagine my surprise to find it still up this morning and with comments attached!
After a long groaning week excepting today and tomorrow with phone and computer links out and grading potatoes..life would of been easier if the electricity was out.Luckily for me pitching for a should’ve of been was out of the question.Still others lost everything including their houses on the Coffs Harbour Coast..I haven’t lost my leaky roof though..and thanks for indulging me a bit because of the boringly bad English I come to express often. I have been hit in the head by potatoes a number times as it were!

cas, as for all the comments — we’re just on the wrong posts — the hordes are comment warring on the ‘indiscriminately SPECTACULAR’ post .
Yes. Power was out. That was me.

Ah well, it’s here now.
Philip – “should of been ” should have been “should have been”
Or “should’ve been”, which I assume is what he was pitching for.
“accept should of been”
“accept” should have been “except”…
Or maybe not… I didn’t understand any other part of the post. Maybe “accept” is correct. Maybe PhilipTravers is a modern day James Joyce.
