I know mX is low-grade trash and News Ltd doesn’t stake its reputation on it, but still, shouldn’t a story like this – in the alleged “news” section – have some kind of disclaimer?
No mention that MySpace is owned by NewsCorp, which owns mX.
“Beats Facebook” indeed!
In other news: NewsCorp is the best company ever and Fairfax sucks balls! Turn to page 3 for the details.

Myspace has been pants by the likes of Facebook anyway.
It is about the same level as the cross promotion on the tv news. “and you will hear more on that story on A Current Affair coming up after the news”.
Not exactly, because that’s openly on the same channel.
mX and MySpace are different media and it’s not immediately apparent to those who don’t know (and many don’t) that they’re owned by the same company.
Like anyone actually takes mX seriously anyway. The only thing interesting in it is the daily Connex complaints page.
MX makes good toilet paper, you can grab a whole pile of them!
“Turn to page 3″ – not something that children should be instructed to do when referring to a Murdoch publication.
Ok Sorry for the incorrect cross promotion. You can read about my apology and the affects it has had in this week’s New Idea or Women’s Weekly mag?
Coming up next the new wonder bra sure to riase some eye brows.
Yesterday I walked past one of those people who try to shove the damn thing in your hands – he declared that it was “excellent journalism bought to you by Mr Murdoch.”
I almost choked. Him.
Re: Fairfax. Always love it when the Oz runs circulation stories. So impartial.
